King of the Garden

Tailor made discovery
of truth and life and limb
and the miles you've walked don't wear your feet
or crush your glowing whim.

Skin so dark and sun inspired
a mirror to the earth
as you contemplate the ramblings of the ancients
that you've heard.

The sky beams wild imaginings
into your solid soul
and the pods of long gone seedlings tell the tale
of miles to sow.

This turn about, this walk without
the gates to turn you away
has dissolved your growing bitterness and salvaged
your soul this day.

A resolution to search the grounds
and flood the green with shoots bamboo
A legacy to leave in this castle of earth
that belongs to the king in you.
