King of Lies

King of Lies I've seen many evil things, so that you didn't have to. I've fought my share of evil, occasionally I bled for you. Should that day come for me, where I cannot make it through. that evil never took me, it was the knife you threw. You banished me to solitude, rotting in the darkest night. But it’s in those pitch-black holes you dug, where I truly learned to fight. Did your ego grow much larger, when you chained me like a dog! Did you really think you’d break me? I grew stronger in the fog. I’m not waiting for apologies, if you tried, I’d know you lied. Because I know inside, you’re empty, and my fire has never died. Forever I’m a hunter and you’re the king of lies. While you hide with all your insects I’ll be soaring through the skies. You sat back, watched and waited while your henchmen did your deeds. Yet You failed to stomp me out, instead you just sowed more seeds. You planted them to close, to the foundation of your home And as those roots grow stronger, they will continue to roam. They will penetrate all you stand upon, they will bring your castle down And while you’re trapped within the rubble, I’ll still be standing strong.
