Christ, the newborn King of Glory, Born in a stable, bound for the throne, Come and worship, come and adore the Almighty Rock, the cornerstone. Lift your hands to Him in worship; lift your voice to Him and sing, "Hosanna in the highest, Hosanna to the King!" Christ, the living King of Glory, Never changing, ever the same, Yesterday, today, and forever, Constant love, unchanging name. Lift your hands to Him in worship; lift your voice to Him and sing, "Hosanna in the highest, Hosanna to the King!" Christ, the risen King of Glory; Saints acclaim him, angels sing, Where, O grave is now thy vict'ry, Where, O death is now thy sting? Lift your hands to Him in worship; lift your voice to Him and sing, "Hosanna in the highest, Hosanna to the King!" Christ, the coming King of Glory, Gone to prepare a place for his own, All creation bows before the Unblemished Lamb upon His throne. Lift your hands to Him in worship; lift your voice to Him and sing, "Hosanna in the highest, Hosanna to the King!"

Thank you so much, Reneice! Since you mentioned it, it is a hymn we sing at my church 2 or 3 times a year. Appreciate your lovely comment.

Definitely one of the better Christian poems I’ve read. I appreciate your thought, rhythm, refrain. I have a hard time writing what is greatest in my heart...getting all choked up.

Kim, I appreciate the very kind and humbling words. Sometimes our task is to write, sometimes it is to encourage others to write. Both glorify God. You are an encouragement to me and many others here at Soup. Thank you ~ John

I think I saw earlier this one got a great placement in the contest. If so, Congratulations. Very well deserved, my friend. I have tried to catch up here because I'm way behind in so many things and tomorrow will be with a dear friend. Friday will see my Mom and no time to even clean house! It was Joe's Bday today, sO I wonder if he woke up from his evening nap. He will be wondering where I went and wanting his birthday cake!!
