Kinfolk
Kinfolk so long remembered
of fine people, so gentle were they.
Now only a handful remains,
some gone on to a better place.
Memories of them so precious
of those kinfolk of mine.
Sitting around the table
eating our cares away,
so many Thanksgivings
ago seems like yesterday.
Kinfolk miss you so,
thinking of you on this day.
Kinfolk love you and
wished you were here.
