Kindness is Free

In old age, and recently facing the harshness of real life situations, I find it easier to let minor annoyances of little consequence, roll away like water off a duck's back. Showing by example kindness out does the nasties 110 %. When I was about 13, I totally did not understand why my father got so mad at me wearing a badge that said "Make Love not war". Thanks for your insightful comment. Keep shining the light as you always do, my feisty friend.

G'day Empress. I'm not fond of these different forms of poetry. In my mind I call it fractured poetry. Counting syllables and placing lines in certain orders, takes away the freedom that poetry should enjoy, but contests are helpful to start me off writing again, as they give me a reason to write. My muse still has trainer wheels on, so my efforts aren't up to scratch yet. Encouragement such as yours and others is really appreciated
