Yes! Spread love not hate. T y so much for posting. They make it a goal to be nasty as you know from previous experience's. It's shameful when they utilize potd's as their soap-box shameless who piggyback on comment replies and keep doing it! They should stop and reflect on their own behavior before giving diagnosis's out like hotcakes. You know what I mean jelly-bean ~ Love to you, dear Wen. Beautiful quote

In old age, and recently facing the harshness of real life situations, I find it easier to let minor annoyances of little consequence, roll away like water off a duck's back. Showing by example kindness out does the nasties 110 %. When I was about 13, I totally did not understand why my father got so mad at me wearing a badge that said "Make Love not war". Thanks for your insightful comment. Keep shining the light as you always do, my feisty friend.

Ahh I get all cynical but I agree - kindness is free. Personally being kind and nice doesn't compete with true connection and authenticity but it's certainly a better baseline than nastiness. Lovely to see you back! (I'm not saying that just to be kind!)

Haha thanks Wen! I substitute words like ta for declarations of love all the time :) (must be an Aussie/Northern England thing!) You've been a good friend to me and it's lovely that you are writing poetry again x

Ta. . :) You aren't cynical. You are honest. The most honest person that I have come across online. Besides which you are naturally kind. Its part of you. That's why you have so many fun loving friends, who adore being with you. ( I dont mean online) I Have known you for a while and never known you to be nasty. In fact you correct me when I start to display nastiness. When I write a poem like this I think of you, wondering if you will read it and like it, Most of my poems aren't your "cup of tea" I know that. I have a childlike quality in my writing and your writing is mature down to earth and honest. So when you comment on my poems I know that I can believe you really like it. All I need to say is "Ta" Cause you dont leave me much else to say.

G'day Empress. I'm not fond of these different forms of poetry. In my mind I call it fractured poetry. Counting syllables and placing lines in certain orders, takes away the freedom that poetry should enjoy, but contests are helpful to start me off writing again, as they give me a reason to write. My muse still has trainer wheels on, so my efforts aren't up to scratch yet. Encouragement such as yours and others is really appreciated
