Kindness

Kindness.
One simple word, one simple action.
Showing it to someone
Each day is simple as can be.
So, why don’t we do it?

One simple word, one simple action.
A smile or wave to someone
Who looks down. A kind word
For a girl who’s new, or
A boy who looks lonely.
So easy, yet so rare.
Why don’t we do it?

One simple word, one simple action.
A hug for a friend who’s sad,
A smile for someone you don’t even know.
Something to brighten up
Someone’s day, that only takes
One moment of your time.
So why don’t we do it?

One simple word, one simple action.
Are w cowards? Are we evil?
Do we place ourselves
So high on a pedestal, that
We’ve no time for others?
A mere “hello” or “how are you?”
For someone who doesn’t
Get spoken to often enough.
So why don’t we do it?

Kindness.
One simple word.
One simple action.
So why don’t we do it?

This is so true. Something for us all to think about.
