Kindness

Kindness is a rare, unpolished gem,
A steady, quiet spark
Hidden deep inside us.

It is an open, reaching hand
Extended with no strings attached.
It is a whisper of solace,
A living action aiming to mend,
Marking forever—not in silence—
What the gesture made flawless.

It is fiercely resilient,
Refusing to make excuses.
It is a quiet fire
Guided by bravery,
Burning for everyone to see.

Nice one. Must be a contest because I have seen several with the topic of Kindness if so, this reads like a good contender to me. Way to go. Sara K.

1st of all, thank you for your positive encouragement. I had written this poem a few years back when contemplating on my walk of showing gratitude towards someone special or anyone that had the bravery to NOT look away and help me in this journey called life.
