Kindness By Michelle Morris 28/12/2021 We are all capable of being good We are all capable of being kind But it all starts with ourselves Embracing who we are Those small steps forward Being better who you were yesterday The experience and the lessons Breaking down all that's untrue It remains a lifelong learning For each of our hearts and souls Stilling the inner critic And ignoring the outer world Life is complicated for everyone We do what we believe is best It doesn't always help us Or the people that we meet Kindness is who we truly are Pure souls often snowed down By debris from outside and in Trying to unlearn indoctrination from all No matter what happens on your path Be kind to yourself first And once you're at peace with yourself You can show kindness to the world We are all decent in our souls We are love and light within It sometimes just takes time To reveal the purity and truth © Michelle Morris, 2021
