Kindness

Kindness saves me. I've been so defensive these whole time, that I didn't realize how tired I was because of it. Being met with genuine kindness from even a child had my guards down, and I have never felt safer. Building my walls up for years, had me crumbling inside. Trust issues are inevitable, but kindness is smething else. Kindness brings warmth, comfort, and most of all love. Continuing being kind, even with a knowledge that the world might tear us apart is a strength. Us being kind is a clue that we were once being treated kindly, when before this all we got were negativities. Kindness keeps me going, and kindness helps me to stay alive.
