Kindness

Has this kindness
Gone too far?

Being used with
No mercy.

My goodness
Causing misery.
People take advantage
Of my good heart.

Walked all over
With no remorse.
These feelings once
Warm, now cold as ice.

I tremble as I recall
All that I’ve lost.

Has this kindness
Gone too far?
