Kindhearted

I can be kind because I have suffered.
A heart with no hurts is a spoiled thing.
It beats away ignorant of injury.
My heart has been through the wars.

Life is precious and far too short
to repeat mistakes I have witnessed.
I can be kind when I see others suffer.
Knowing their pain, I envelope them.
