Killing Time
Cool and crisp air,
Gentle breeze between.
Bright sun and blue December sky.
Leaves dancing in the sun’s light before their timely flight.
The birds about their business.
Cold in the shade.
Acorns crunch as a man walks by.
It won’t be long this moment in time.
Met expectations.
It feels so right, my chin in my palm,
Enjoying the peace, enjoying the calm.
No worries, no rush, no reason or rhyme.
How thoughtful it is, to sit killing time
