Killing the Doubts With Faith and Hope
There are days when I steer clear of putting pen to paper
Afraid what my mind would spew
I look into the core of fear
Into the core of what hurts
All the questions that entail
The lingering doubts
Wondering if I can handle this
Then I remember all those other moments
That came before
They had meaning
They were an intricate element
Of what I am dealing with today
Sometimes I just have to push through
The doubts
Challenge the fear
And rely on all the lessons learned
In order to persevere
Nobody cares about the in between
Just on how you finished
So if today is doubtful I will push through
I have hope,
I have faith
Even that at times is enough
To see the sun shining through the miasma
