Keeping Salesmen Away
Angry daddy Jack, the pumpkin god
could depress you with barely a handle nod
He had a perpetual scowl on his enormous face
in actuality, he was full of kindness and good grace
He kept the frown to keep salesmen away
For when he was sold something, he said hooray
He was in lots of debt because he could not say “no”
His family knew this and played him so.
