Keepers

wind-green
branch-dance
feather-rush and sun

caught a mouse
transcend life into
survival for three and one

near a block clad in moss
to green to be green
are watchers with two sets of eyes
 behind a darkened screen

held-up eyes and others in the head
they make marks on trees
and bleed color until
windows appear of still-air

in silence
 they
are in awe
of our wings
against blue sky
hidden shapes in darkness
as wings span their eyes
