Keep Your Fences Sound

Mend your people fences Keep them in repair Not wise to be at odds With those with which you care Sad to see family’s split And then drift apart Someone hold out a hand Give the fence mending a start Agree to disagree No need for conflict Some subjects are Taboo Just avoid what gets them “ticked” Don’t let those words that hurt Force you to strike back Count to ten, let it ride Keep your fences all in tact Differences aren’t bad Makes the world go round Practice “Live and Let Live” And keep your fences sound
