Keep the Joy
Hold right to the old-fashion notion
that love does not have to lose its glow
the glow your face showed and your heart knew
when you first kissed your beloved's lips.
Keep that joy by being kind to each other,
forgiving of faults
trying always to understand the other's needs.
Keep that warmth and peace of spirit
by sharing hopes and dreams;
by soaring together day by day.
Know that God surely smiles
upon such a selfish sky.
