Keep the Faith
You say you will desert your faith and publicly
And if the brethren won't stop you you'll lament hysterically
That you have one more reason out of their lack of concern
Praying that they scatter and never return
But Christ is the Head and He will forever preserve a remnant
Heed His Will and don't worship for selfish wants
For the Father knows that you want these things
Lace not your supposed reverence with attached strings
In the fullness of time which you see as delay
And the lure of the world's pleasure tempts you to stray
You'll have been weak for fainting in the day of trouble
For circumstance proves your commitment unstable
Trouble troubles all but we are to be of good cheer
Hard-pressed from all sides hold your faith dear
Though you have tarried longer than others
Even longer than was required of your forefathers
Your path is unique to you purpose and such as is your time
To complement other calls that they all together sublime
The Psalmist fears not the valley of the shadow of death
And so shall you personally know and say in your breath
When a way has been made for you when there was none
Praises of your God shall come from the witness of your clan
Erasing all doubt about enduringly seeking God to the end
For there is seen faith they could commend and recommend.
