Keep Pressing On

You and I were meant to be for an eternity
Nothing is going to be in the way of that
My heart can’t take it anymore, my precious liberty
We were supposed to be free, not this doormat

I’m just letting you know
That you need to treat me better
I’ll let these emotions show
I just want to wipe these tears on your sweater

My love is as strong as a bulletproof glass
You’re like completing a difficult test in class
You got me going crazy all night long
I can feel you all around me all along

You’ll never understand what I feel inside
I want you to give it your all and let go of past pride
I had too much time on my hands right now
Wondering if you’re going to save me somehow

I just got to keep pressing on
I lie awake till the break of dawn
I regret, getting you tangled up in this mess
You can’t undo this distress that is in excess

I just got to keep pressing on
I’m running out of time and it’s a pity that you’re gone
I hate the fact that I was taken advantage of
I hate the aftershocks of our far-fetched love

You and I were meant to be for an eternity
I’m just letting you know
My love is as strong as a bulletproof glass
You’ll never understand what I feel inside
I just got to keep pressing on
