Keep Me Different
Every time
I didn't fit in...
Every time
I didn't quite get it...
Every time
I saw the disrespect
But missed the confirmation...
Whew!
I just have to thank You...
And pray that...
You'll keep me different, Lord.
That... when I feel lost,
You'll show me the way...
to your peace.
That... when the world knocks me out,
You'll resuscitate me
That... You'll remind me
That it's okay to be okay...
Being me...
That uniqueness should be
Nurtured & Cherished,
Never forced to perish.
Never forced into a mold,
Clearly made for others...
Clearly made for THEM,
But, NOT ME
NEVER ME.
Keep me different, Lord.
I don't want to be like them.
Keep me different.
Keep me different.
