Keep

Whatever keeps the spirit
whatever draws me near it
Oh, keep my promise to endure
for him, my anthem pure!

As God sees fitness not disguise
keep faith, as in broad skies
some keeping of content is in the eyes.
Oh keep me from relent, pursuing lies.

And keep as holy, kindred, thy surmise
that I am thinking of you, not in guise
but in some true foundation realize
that I am oneness in you, reaching ties.

Until that oneness beckons you and I
and even in each other underlies
a spirit of forgiveness, time contrives
eternal ~ as in summing, goodness strives!
