The Importance Of Making Memories | Anita Cleare

__________________________________________________________________________

“Consider ‘Life is but a dream’ (Lewis Carroll), and then consider Heaven and Hell as everlasting realities. A blink mortality would be - if my thinking is right. So why muck things up being a horrible person to those who will remember you when you have passed away?” (by this poem's author) Dear memories of those I keep forever stored inside my mind are like a well with water deep where recollections I can find. By dipping deep, I can retrieve dear memories of those I keep. For loved ones gone I need not grieve. I know God’s blessings they now reap. It’s I – alive – who is asleep and dreaming far from Heaven’s shore. Dear memories are those I keep of those who soon I’ll see once more. Strong, kind and loving I must be though paths I take be sometimes steep. May my descendants say of ME: Dear memories are those I keep.

a simply divine poem, Andrea. I ofttimes ponder if this earthy life is the real dream and the life beyond is what's real. Memories are special...they connect us in unseen ways through that veil where descendants reside. I especially liked the last line. Am faving this one for sure. Enjoy your evening, Sara

wow thanks, and I am glad someone gets what I am saying by calling life a dream. I really think Lewis Carroll got that right.

Beautiful…let us leave those beautiful memories even to a thousand generations. Our smiles and comfort peeking out from grandchildren’s eyes! God bless you always!

Quatern, very well written, for some reason as i read this i feel a sense of calmness and peace, peace one has from within, as memories they keep and accept everything, loss too, as Gods blessings all are in life and hereafter. I really love the well line! How you’ve written that. And inner strength you have which is evident too. Sending you light always

If you can't see the movie, look up near death experience shows on Netflix. Thousands of people have seen the light. You only need to trust in God and death will be something not to fear.

Actually the movies name is After Death. It's about near death experiences which are so beautiful they make our earthly life feel like only a dream. Heaven is the home we want to return to!

Thanks for the light. I am a calm person trying to accept my trials and trusting that death brings us great relief and joy. Just watched new documentary called After Life and it inspired this poem.
