KCN

1. The doors shut forcefully, driving me out. I failed the polygraph test for the second time.

    My feelings are numb to the bare minimum. My alibi is shaky, as is my mind awaiting a verdict.

    I can't keep my eyes lined with yours, my hands shaking on my thighs. I should feel so calm after taking the truth serum?

    2. KCN KCN

    I just want some KCN

    KCN KNN

    Why am I so hungry then?

    For some KCN

    What will my mom do when she learns?

    3. They called me a liar three times in the same damn sentence. The wind of my mistakes is blowing off the roof of my house.

    How should I act? How does the innocent behave? No smiles? My emotions have been doused.

    It was not me, I swear. My heart is hammering in my chest. Five six four, they open up the door. She cries!

    I see her through the corner of my eye. Her deadly glare from her bulging eyes, clutching to her branded bag. No surprise!

    4. "See you in three days," he laughed with a wave. My knuckles are turning white at his smile.

    Seven, nine, eight, I refuse to take the blame and let you save her. Not in this lifetime or the next.

    I am innocent like meds in little quantities. Bright lights and cameras shove in my face. Stay focused on pending cheques.

    Poison makes the dose.

    5. January, March, July - I hate telling lies. My words freeze as I open my mouth.

    To my family, I become see-through. And to the world? I deserve a rigid noose. If only I stole her favorite blouse.

    I met her in Summer. She was once sweet, with nice eyes and called Joyce. Perfume that needed no voice.

    I saw him in spring, shared a dance under the moonlight. He kissed me like a comet. Guess why he never wore a ring.

    6. They say the truth will set you free, while mine belches with handcuffs.

    I am innocent.

    I repeat like a lethal substance in small doses. It was not my doing, his feelings for me were concrete, unwilling to move.

    Little young, beautiful me, easy to suspect and difficult to prove.

    7. I know I said before I won't take the blame. How will this add any winning score if you don't know my name?

    Rainbows color my face in her presence. Why be with him when he doesn't miss you in your absence?

    I said before I was lethal and she was neither? That's not right.

    She is my KCN and I am her halo light.
