Katrina

One hurricane after another was a leading example
of how much we are daily sampled
the fact that we struggled on making this country great
doesnt change the systems archive hate
a war going on , but who really knows why?
why should we be forced to watch our familes die?
unity is the thirst that we crave inside
but we're afraid to be ourselves, hiding all our pride
we're forced to take chances to find an escape
but we need to make changes or we're forced to get raped
by this corrupted world leading us to our graves
dont they remember who were the slaves?
turned on us so many times that we stopped counting
our creation is drowning through poverty
cant anyone see?
no other solution has been found
so only god can save us now
