Katie's Kitchen Critters

The kitchen cupboard clamps closed incorrectly.
Katie concluded it was a continual cause of consternation,
cause rats raised a ruckus by creeping into Katie’s cupboards
to crunch cookie crumbs!
    “Crap!.” cried Katie.
Wrath, waxing her weary and her taxed temper turning teary,
she resolved to be rid of the ridiculous roving rats.
Clearly, Katie’s cats couldn't catch the creepy raucous rodents!
So she resolved to revert to a relatively reliable recourse.
She contentedly kissed her cute cuddly cats and triggered
traps for the wretched repulsive rats.
The dastardly deed done; contented Katie concluded,
“this lass learned a large, likely lesson :

“ ‘Tis better to trigger traps for running roving rats,
than to count on cute, cuddly, contented cats.”

                             The End : )

Let that cat be ... these modern rats are terrorists, and a cat is smart to jump ship when they arrive. Good write.

Cats! Yes. They are only good for petting, eating and sleeping, but I love my kitties anyway. Love your humor. Dave

LOL Katie's not alone. My cats would never lower themselves to chasing rodents. The traps I set in the garage didn't work either, but I discovered the effectiveness of "sticky pads." When the pads I set out disappeared, I started having dreams of mice using them to skateboard down my driveway. Thanks for the memories, Rob! Love, Carolyn
