A gulf as wide
As the ocean
Exists between
You and me.
Though the distance
Is great,
And the silence
Screams,
My love for you will
Never change.
It will ever be
As strong…
Strong and steady...
As the very first time
I heard
Your heart beat.
You are my firstborn
And will
Always be my baby.
