Karma

At some time lived
dancing, drinking, loving,
one of thousands
gathering by a stream.
And, you and I
if we met before
in a Tibetian dream
how far has karma progressed?

Be happy, joyous inspite of
the bone-numbing fear
of not Being.
And thus becomes clear
the need for a savior
to calm the primal scream
echoing down time.
Has karma progressed?

Whatever the color of the light
whatever be the faith
or no faith praised,
however many lives
lie in their graves
what survived
as karma progressed?

This life came
unbidden, ill-conceived.
And, if it is a reincarnation
lets be done with this round
to be re-born
at another station
in time.

How far has your karma progressed?
