Karen and Cubby

The youngest Mouseketeers, they were The ones who sang goodbye. If you watched “Mickey Mouse Club,” You’d remember if you try. Her long blond curls and winsome smile Had cross-the-board appeal And pairing them together Really seemed to seal the deal. Though Cubby lives, I just found out That Karen’s, sadly, gone, So “now it’s time to say goodbye;” Her memory lives on. Karen Pendleton (8/1/46 – 10/6/19) Cubby O’Brien (7/14/46 -)

Lovely tribute to Karen ilene. I didn't watch Mickey Mouse Club that I remember. There was a show on a local network that was called Barts Club House that I absolutely loved. He showed Popeye cartoons. :) <3 That, and Captain Kangaroo. :)

Now it's time, to say goodbye, to shed a tear for you and me: M-I-C-K-E-Y... Goodbye, Karen. Just perfectly done, Ilene. And it really did bring a tear to my eye. Another salient reminder of how young we are all getting... :) gw

This was a fun look back Ilene. I remember the Mickey Mouse Club but I didn't watch it as a kid. I was more into The Three Stooges. : )
