Kansas Pride
We saw fields of yellow ten miles before we arrived, but the fields got brighter as we pulled into the farmer's lane. The flowers were nodding at us. They appeared to be giving the sun her energy; she was brighter here than anywhere else. A sense of peacefulness surrounded us as we pulled up next to the fence where the happy sunflowers stretched their faces to greet us. No better Kansas pride than this if you ask this Kansan.
