Notes About The Poem

Image result for pictures of red male cardinal on pink rose bush through a windowThe bird represents freedom, the kitchen window represents being inside and not being able to go free, the kaleidoscope represents a spy glass that the vision is blurred by tears. Not a contest entry. Sometimes I feel trapped by life's situation.

Thank you, Andrea. I like nature and what I see and hear from the world outside. I can't enjoy it like I once did, but I still try to go out some. Thank you for the visit and taking time to comment. Sara K.

Yes, it's lovely to have a nice window to look out of. I live on the west cost of the US, and I have a good friend on the east coast. On the west coast, we don't have cardinals, so I saw my first one looking out her window when I visited her in 2015 - very exciting!

Thank you, David, for dropping by and leaving such a nice personal comment. I am glad that you got to experience the male red cardinal in real life. They are magnificent in color and more. I have been having a large number visit my feeders for several years now. Sara K.
