Kaleidoscopic Window
Walking the last listless mile,
I make life a kaleidoscopic window,
see the changing euphoric patterns,
before they flit away in time.
The nascent sun breaks the dawn,
spreading as pearls of dew in my pasture,
the glittering gift morning presents I adore,
before it drifts away in time.
In the garden of my flushing meadow,
the sunflowers glow in gold,
their frail beauty frames the hue of present,
before it fades away in time.
The instant smile of the children of God,
flickers as the divine touch of innocence,
flashes in me as the sparkle of exaltation,
before it wanes away in time.
You walk on the pathway we’ve built together,
come home with the glint of love in your eyes,
suffuse me with sublime sense of belonging,
before it dissipates away in time.
The twilight hour gleam freezes on your face,
in the silver silence of the seraphic night,
the moonbeams still our present moments,
before they melt away in time.
