Kaleidoscopic Kite

I am kaleidoscopic kite soaring high~ 'neath August sky whilst children cheer as I cuddle cotton clouds and glide down myrtle mountains. I soar ~ I flap ~ yet unafraid for I am free to enjoy summer's spree in the comfort of your hands. A kite is fragile....Have to hold the string tight, or it may fly away in the wind...This poem is more personification then free verse... But written so well .

"not so tight, / not so loose / and never let me go" sounds like an endearing love poem. Way to go on your first place with this engaging poem, your kite makes a wonderful metaphor for so many thoughts of freedom and flying. Congrats ~ John
