Just Walking Away

I enter passage on this snowy mountain trail,
leaving behind yesterday and all its woes
while searching for tomorrow elsewhere
and welcoming each new day.

Knowing my yesterdays were shared with some,
my tomorrows will be new and with others,
as I contemplate the path before me
and the towns that I will see.

Let my feet know my resting place, my destination.
For they will tell me when and where to make camp.
My heart, knows not when to stop, nor go on,
so my feet will continue my journey and lead me on.

So as I travail upon this snowy embankment,
leaving those that could have been
my feet lead me on, letting me know
I think not, nor truly consider my tomorrows.
