Just Visiting

Standing still
   as if frozen
She watched them
    drive away

Their visit time so short
with little sharing talk
   just ‘gotta go, gotta go’
   and so they did.

She stood looking
   after them
   for some time,
   lingering she did,
watching the empty road
long after they passed
   out of sight.

Stood so still
so very quiet still
  as if frozen
but for a tear leaking
   from a sad
   sad eye.
