Just To the Gate

Just to the gate, Lord
thy own wait
in prayer's tranquility,
some answering to so abate!

My conscious level of irrate
Oh, Lord, thy patience reinstate
that Faith could help me so innate
to open wide, Lord, not in fate!

As thy own mercy, cleanse my weight
of life's dull burdens,
to the gate
a humble vestage, not ingrate!

Not overbearing, filled with hate
or pitious, selfish thoughts of great!
Just to the gate then let me wait,
a child of God, in hopeful rate!

In piousness, but not sedate
or repressed logic, fill-in, late ~
forever, living as thy mate
Just to the gate, Lord ~ to the Gate!
