Just To Be
Just to be in your dreams
dancing as one, humming the melodies
that draw us in,
just to be the one you love
a kiss away from passion, a touch of knowing
only the two of us;
just to be together
one more time before it is done
to embrace you forever, afraid to let you go,
just to hold on to these memories
before the clock stops calling you home
when I know we must say goodbye...
just for you to be
in my dreams again one more time
in the loneliness of this endless night.
