Just the Two of Us

I sketched
You, with words
To calm

A weary heart
To sleep tight
In slithering night, but
Your whimsy craving
Echoed, sweetly

The breath
Of Northern stars
Fetching us

Gallons of
Scented
Rain
Like wine, brewed with
Gleaming pieces

Of you
And me
‘Neath a silky sheet
