Notes About The Poem

Just Take a Moment - 1

Just take a moment and breathe
Listen to the silence
Reflect on a sweet dream
Laugh, smile, whisper into the light
Joys and freedoms, inspirations
That heal and fulfill

Just take a moment and breathe
Call out to the heavens
Ask God for grace and protection
Find a new direction
Encourage a heart to pray
Learn to rejoice in the present day

Just take a moment and breathe
Look to the azure skies
See all the glories God has painted
Along the mountains, coastlines, seas
Through the heart and soul
Into the blessings felt through eternity

Just take a moment and breathe
Lift up your eyes to believe
In the spirit’s quest for purity and peace
Insights into faith that is a living thing
Lasting through the worries and sorrows
Reassuring there are good things in the tomorrows

Just take a moment and breathe
Sing a song of praise
Beckon to the grace that soothes and calms
Encourages the heart to take a chance
To risk the thought of losing
And anticipate the future

Just take a moment and breathe
Plant a seed in someone’s heart
Share a psalm, a hope, a thought
Of gentle passions and pleasant ideas
All the love that reminds you to give
From the soul – the gift of kindness

Wonderful advice, Gina. I was just sitting on my front stoop today, noticing how everyone was in such a big hurry to get -- What, exactly? -- done. 'Take a moment' is such sage counsel. Cheers, Gershon

Those breaths remind us to think on Him. Blessings, sweet lady!

You will find Him in the silence of your heart. Very reflective.
