With the cares of every day 
You are so weary 
It is time to pray 

As you pass along life’s way 
Your fondest hopes fade 
It is time to pray 

By the things some people say 
You are so betrayed
It is time to pray 

You know your life’s gone astray 
Something isn’t right 
It is time to pray 

When things in your life seem gray 
The sunshine vanished 
It is time to pray 

When your nerves begin to fray 
You want to lash out 
It is time to pray 

If you are about to sway 
Away from your truth 
It is time to pray 

You are tempted to betray 
Those who love you most 
It is time to pray
