Just Stating the Obvious

Two eyes I have for God’s works to behold praying to be spared from cataract when birthdays would reveal my age is old. Left and right ears toward comprehending while learning through special child’s sign language perceiving his sounds with understanding. Midst tongue to feast on varied foods, tasteful and mouth declaring of the Lord’s greatness I smile with my dimples, indeed grateful. Blest with nose to enjoy good scents' delight aware of toxic odor that lingers my smell-sense seeks therapeutic herbs' might. Confronted with gray hair reality sometimes denying very existence I now yield to overt truth’s certainty. Affirming face-expressions through gestures my hands reach-out by the Spirit’s power as faith surmounts fleshly adventures. Striving always to step in Christ’s peace bliss my feet falter with human nature flaw yet move on sharing Gospel I won’t miss. Bowing my head in supplication plea heart admits sins needing Saviour’s pardon I do offer* my life with obvious glee.
*Psalm 50:14 Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High. April 26, 2021 1st place, "Just Stating The Obvious" Rhyme Poetry Contest Sponsored by Brother Jacob; judged on 5/18/2021.
