Just Something

Just something

Sparkle of light,

rush of waterfall,

windy path of a kite,

delighted bounce of a ball,

blossom of a child,

just something to be happy about.

black and white photos of weddings,

joy on their faces,

first time going sledding,

first time winning a race,

wonder of a child,

just something to remember about.

A spark of life,

the cool summer breeze of the sea,

the cruelty of winter's sharp-edged knife,

the intensity of leaves falling from that tree,

growth of a child,

just something that's about to change.
