Notes About The Poem

Just Say Trick or Treat

A trick or treating little tot
asked, "It's Halloween, is it not?"
I answered him politely, "Yes".
To this, he said, "I must confess,
I fancy your bowl of sweets.
I'm growing tired of these streets.
Would you mind parting with your swag?
Please empty it in my bag."

And did you?? We have had some trick or treaters come even after 10. My payback for being the same way as a child. Haha

haha, were you a terror? I don't have trick or treaters here in my retirement community, but I wish I did. I always like the little ones more than the big ones, but that doesn't seem too fair, as I think about it. I was just thinking - I wonder when trick or treating because, and where in the world, it is practiced - sounds like something to ask Google.
