Getting past the guilt behind saying "no" is the essence of good boundaries and nurturing a healthy life. Well said, per usual, Milt. Congratulations.

I have a very difficult time saying no, but I do try, and I find it is beneficial for relieving stress to do so. Thanks for your read and your comment.

I have to admit it has taken me fifty years to "say no" but it sure has saved me a lot of energy and resentment.

Absolutely. Even if I wrote it, this is excellent advice.

So true Milt! Good advice. Sometimes good to keep the aspirin bottle near your wallet and clock! Best of luck in the contest if this is for the Ninette contest.

So true my friend. Sometimes we find it hard to say no when someone asks us for a favor but sometimes we just plain don't have the time or the energy to be as obliging as we would like to be. I used to find it hard to say no but then when I was in need no one seemed to want to give me the time to help me in my need. Now if I can I will but if I can't I say so. A good write with a good message. God Bless, JB

Thanks, JB. I think your way of doing it is the best way of doing it. I have also found that I don't need to apologize for telling someone I simply can't do something. The why is really none of their business.
