Just Roll the Dice

My turn to roll the dice No time to play nice The bones stop and I realize Once again I've rolled snake eyes I am not able To walk away form this table Lost this months rent I regret I need to place another bet I wont be able to face my honey And explain that I've lost all of our money I need to win, it cant be that hard Pray they will take my credit card I never thought I would lose No more money so they took my shoes I'm starting to realize perhaps Why they call this game - craps The Crap Shoot Poetry Contest Sponsored by: John Lawless 4/30/19

it wasn't until I read a couple of poems did I realise there was a card game called craps - I just write crap in general lol. sad reality in your poems Timothy the lure of winning money leads some folk to to lose so much, got to say your final stanza sure hits home hard and is a stark reality check with a pinch of humour in that final line:-) hugs jan xx
