“We will be confident when we stand before the Lord, even if our hearts condemn us. For God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything. —1 JOHN 3:19-20 0 NLT” - Thomas Nelson Publishers, Grace: More Than We Deserve, Greater Than We Imagine
Pray for God to shine His light,
Revealing to us, all that’s right,
The joy, peace, hope and love,
All the wonders from up above.
Pray for God to send His relief,
Burning away every disbelief,
Reassuring the heart with grace,
To give comfort in the darkest place.
Pray for God to answer our prayers,
With kindness that proves He still cares,
Promising the spirit to erase the pain,
Silence the storms and the fiercest rain.
Pray for God to listen when we weep,
Even though, what we sow, we reap,
Let us know that time will bring amity,
Assuring souls we can face any calamity.
Pray for God to reach through the sorrow,
Stirring a love that will last through tomorrow,
Erasing the fears, the tears and the anxiety,
Pouring out love over all our society.
Pray for God to forgive us for our sins,
Stilling the worst, so gentle hope begins,
Reaching beyond the storms that displace,
Into the spirit who believes in His embrace.
Pray for God to win this war between wrong and right,
As we praise our Father, whose kindness will delight,
Declaring, with each battle, as we sing our songs of praise,
To remember, He is strong, and His love will surely amaze!
