Just One More Moment

I always thought that there would be time Since that moment I met you From the moment I first looked into your eyes I lacked the courage to make myself known So many things I wanted to do A thousand things I wanted to say There was always before me My fear blocked the way Would I say the wrong thing? If I showed you how I felt Would it be too much? Sending you scurrying into hiding My arms are empty without you My soul lacks substance if you are not here My kisses wither and die if you do not share them with me So many times I wanted to tell you Now you are gone You left for another life Another reality And my moment of hope Becomes nothing more than a memory And the memory becomes nothing Oh, for just one more moment To say what I wanted to say To do what I wanted to do To go beyond my fear And maybe have a life with you

Robert, this is full of heartbreak...but a heartbreak shared. Many could relate to this. Well done, for that is one reason we write.
