Notes About The Poem

Our representatives are elected to the House and Senate,  not our leaders. They should never be elected for their own agendas, They should be there to forward the agendas of We the People. When they no longer do that, they should not be re-elected.

Just One Look At Dc

Just One Look at DC

Just one look at DC
We don't have to wonder why
Our great country's changing
Makes us want to scream and cry

There's no civilized scintilla
From the congress that resides
Power's all that matters
And the changing of the tides

Decisions, if they're made at all
Are along the party views
A high percent agreement
Is never in the news

If we follow their example
Which the sheep among us do
It's no wonder We the People
Are in disagreement too

Darker clouds are coming
If we don't cooperate
Meeting somewhere in the middle
Could already be too late
