Just One Hardy Blow

lord
all it takes
for us to know
with
the
crack of the
vicious wipe
entangled
with
sharp razor blades
just
one hardy blow
to
break the naked backs of
captured Africans
with
their hands tied to a tree
shall
break the spirit
and
the soul of
the
Black Man
that
we
shall know
his true
African name
