Just My Retriever And Me

Dropped the receiver, when Jill tried to phone
my old retriever, won’t pick up his bone
no more beer or cigarettes
I’m still here, with my regrets
she’s in Geneva, with that guy, Jerome.

Misbehaving? Not Me! This is purely fictional. Glad you liked it :) M.

Misbehaving, by chance? The dog will get you back on your feet. Time to go for a walk. This is a good poem.
