Just Maybe

As I look out from my tired eyes
Full of sadness, and disbelief
This crazy world that is full
Of 24/7 matters of urgency
That that no one seems to see
The pain and suffering of others
Their blind.. They don't see

Rushing around, device moulded to ear
Everyone talking but no one can hear
The winds have changed
Our negative perception
Will kill our brain
But look beyond yourself
And you will see
By just one gesture
Or a thought for others
We all become family,
We all become brothers

Just think for one moment
If this was to happen
The world would open up
The barriers would flatten
We are all one people
We are strong and proud
We put aside all the negative things
And all join hands
For to do this
Would bring peace to our lands

Hello again John, Would love to see peace in all lands, your poem speaks so much truth, Emilia.

I agree with you John, for some reason people find it easier to hate than to love and I will never understand that logic, whether it brings them some sort of control or power I do not know. Hate just brings so much misery and negativity to everything. Emilia.

We could all live together in peace, its easy. Yet people actually choose to hate instead of choosing to love, John
